Who was Amos?

Amos was a prophet who spoke during a time of prosperity and deep unfairness. He described himself as a herdsman and a grower of sycamore figs. His message challenged people who worshipped while mistreating others.

Amos called for justice to flow like water. Religious celebrations could not replace fair treatment of people, especially those who were poor or powerless.
