Help & printing tips
Let’s get your craft printed.
Cut-off edges? Odd colours? A file that won’t open? Find your answer below, without reading the whole manual.
Let’s try another word.
Try “paper”, “colour”, “download” or “size”. You can also send us the details.
Getting your download
First, let’s make sure you have the actual file.
Is this a physical craft or a digital download?
These are digital activities to download and print. A paper craft, finished model, printer, paper and colouring supplies are not posted to you. Printing costs are separate.
Before buying, check the listing’s file type, language, page count, included versions, supplies and age guide. A photo of a coloured example does not necessarily mean a pre-coloured version is included. Files are not automatically editable or personalised unless the listing says so.
Check the product licence for the copies and setting you have in mind. Membership download access does not, by itself, establish permission to redistribute the files.
Where do I find my Easy Bible Craft downloads?
Bought as a guest? Open the order email from hello@easybiblecrafts.com and choose Download your crafts. No account is needed. Your private link works for 30 days. Request a fresh download link if it expires or you cannot find the email. Check your spam folder too.
Bought while signed in?
- Sign in to Easy Bible Craft using the same email address or Google account you used at checkout.
- Open Account → My downloads, then choose Purchased crafts for activities you bought individually.
- Find your craft and select Download beside each file you need.
- Save the file to your device, open the PDF and print from there. If it is a ZIP, extract it first.
Your purchases appear after Stripe confirms the completed order. You can return to your account to download individually purchased crafts again, even without a membership.
How do I download crafts with my membership?
Sign in to the account with your active membership, browse the shop as usual and choose Add to library on an included craft. Open My downloads to find your chosen crafts and download their files. There is no separate craft charge.
There is no monthly download limit for included crafts during your paid membership. If you cancel renewal, access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Individually purchased crafts stay in Purchased crafts after membership ends.
I checked out, but my craft isn’t in My downloads.
If you bought as a guest, use your order email or request a fresh download link. Use the same email and browser when you create an account to add that guest purchase automatically. For an older purchase, open the private link in its order email while signed in.
- Check that you are signed in with the same email or Google account you used to buy. A different account will have a different download library.
- Look in Account → Orders for your order, then refresh My downloads after payment is confirmed.
- If Stripe still shows Pay or Complete order, check for any required fields or messages: the order may not have been submitted. An applied discount alone does not complete checkout, even when the total is zero.
- For a membership, check that it is active and that you chose Add to library on the craft. Your selections appear in My downloads → Membership picks.
If you have a payment confirmation but the craft is still missing, send us your order number and the email you used at checkout. Please do not buy it again while we check.
Do I need an account, and how do I sign back in?
You can buy individual crafts as a guest, with no account or password. We send a private download link to your checkout email. Membership requires an account. If you want all your purchases together, sign in with Google or your email and password.
Creating an account signs you in straight away. Use the same checkout email and browser to add a guest purchase automatically. If an older purchase is missing, open its private order email link while signed in. A verified Google sign-in can also bring in guest purchases for that email.
Use the same email address each time. If you used Google, choose that same Google account when you return. Forgotten your password, or want to set one for your existing account? Set or reset your password using the email linked to your purchases.
I downloaded it, but I can’t find it or it won’t open.
Check your browser’s download list and your device’s Downloads or Files folder. Look for the craft name and a file ending such as .pdf or .zip. An email receipt or saved product picture is not the printable.
Let the download finish before opening it. If it is empty, incomplete or reports an error, download a fresh copy from My downloads. Open the saved PDF in a PDF reader rather than importing it into a word processor.
A ZIP must be extracted first. If the original file still will not open, send us the file name and exact error message.
The PDF app asks me to pay, edit the file or enter a password.
Basic viewing and printing are available in free PDF readers, including Adobe Acrobat Reader. Use the app’s Print command; you do not need its paid Edit, Convert or Export tools just to put an ordinary PDF on paper.
A PDF purchase does not automatically include editable artwork. If the original download unexpectedly asks for a password or says printing is restricted, send us the file name and exact message so we can check it. You do not need to buy an unrelated unlocking service to ask for help.
What is a ZIP file, and how do I open it?
A ZIP is a folder packed into one download. Extract it to reach the PDFs inside; the ZIP itself is not a page to print.
- Windows: right-click the ZIP, select Extract All and open the extracted folder.
- Mac: double-click the ZIP in Finder, then open the extracted folder.
- iPhone or iPad: find the ZIP in Files, tap it, then open the folder it creates.
- Android with Files by Google: select the ZIP and choose Extract, then open the extracted files.

The listing says several pages, but I only see one file.
One PDF can contain many pages. Open it and look at its page counter or thumbnail panel, then scroll through the whole document. If there is a ZIP, check each extracted folder as well.
Also check whether the purchase includes several separate downloads. Read any supplied instruction page before printing: it may explain the page choices or assembly order.
If the actual files do not match the listing, contact us with the craft name and what you received. You do not need to purchase the same item again to ask us to check.
Your first print: start here
Print one test page before the whole set. Once it looks right, use the same settings for the rest.
Which print settings should I use?
- Open the downloaded PDF. Use its Print command, not the shop page or a screenshot.
- Choose your real printer. A destination called Save as PDF creates another file instead of a paper copy.
- Match the loaded paper. Check the paper size in the print window and printer settings.
- Read the craft’s scale instructions. Use Actual size/100% if specified. Otherwise, Fit can help keep the full page inside the printable area.
- Check the layout. Start with one PDF page per sheet and one-sided printing, unless the instructions say otherwise. Use the orientation shown by the file.
- Preview, then print one copy. Check every edge, the text and any parts that join.
Print the remaining pages with those same settings once the test is right. Names such as Properties, Preferences or More settings depend on the printer and app. Where to find printer settings ↗
Should I choose Fit to page or Actual size / 100%?
Follow the printable’s instructions first. Fit changes the page size to suit the printer’s usable area. Actual size keeps the original dimensions, but can crop anything outside that area.
| Setting | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Fit / Fit to page | Scales the page to the printable area. | When the full sheet needs to fit and exact dimensions are not required. |
| Actual size / 100% | Keeps the file’s original scale. | When the instructions require it or parts need specific dimensions. |
| Custom scale | Uses the percentage you choose. | Only after checking that all connecting pieces still match. |
Do not shrink one piece and leave its matching piece at 100%. If the required scale clips important parts, ask for help before making a batch. Adobe’s page-scaling guide ↗
Can I use US Letter paper for an A4 printable?
A4 is 210 × 297 mm; US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches. They are different shapes. The size in the print window needs to match the sheet in the tray.
For a flat activity where exact dimensions do not matter, Fit may make an A4 page usable on Letter, with a size change. For a camera, cube, booklet or other craft with matching pieces, use a supplied Letter version if there is one, or check the scale and assembly before printing more.
Do not assume every purchase includes both sizes. If the file requires A4 at 100% and you only have Letter, contact us about a suitable option.
Cut-off edges & the wrong size
Missing tabs and tiny pages are often a settings problem. Check the preview before another print.
The edges, text or cutting lines are getting cut off.
- Check that the entire design is visible in the downloaded PDF. If it is already missing there, ask us to check the file.
- Confirm that the paper size in the app and printer settings matches the sheet in the tray.
- If the craft does not require exact scale, try Fit and inspect the whole preview.
- Turn off photo-style Fill or borderless enlargement. These can crop the design to fill the sheet.
- Check portrait/landscape orientation and that you are printing the PDF page, not a selected area.
Most home printers leave an unprinted margin. A white edge can be normal; losing part of the design is not the aim. Do not use borderless printing as the automatic fix. Why printer margins and borderless cropping differ ↗
The craft is tiny, or several PDF pages print on one sheet.
Look for Pages per sheet and set it to 1. Turn off Multiple, booklet or poster/tile layouts unless this craft specifically needs them. Check that a custom scale from an earlier job has not been left on.
A template may already place several small bookmarks or cards on one PDF page. That is different from the printer reducing several PDF pages onto one sheet. Compare the preview with the original file before changing it.
The camera strip, cube tabs or other pieces don’t line up.
Before trimming or gluing more copies, put the pieces from one test print together. Check that every piece came from the same craft and version, using the same paper size and scale.
A mixture of Fit and 100%, or different scaling in two apps, can leave matching pieces at different sizes. Where a craft specifies exact measurements, use those instructions. Automatic fitting can also vary across differently sized PDF pages.
Check folds and glue tabs too: a tab is not always a piece to cut away. If settings are consistent and the pieces still will not fit, send us photos of the pieces beside a ruler and the settings you used.
Colour, ink & print quality
A home print may look a little different from the screen. A strong colour cast, missing detail or unreadable page is worth checking.
The colours look different from the listing or my screen.
Screen brightness, printer colour handling, ink and paper all affect the result. A slightly different shade does not necessarily mean the PDF is faulty, and changing printers can change the result too.
- Open the original PDF and check that it looks right on screen.
- Choose colour printing if the file is coloured, and match the paper-type setting to the paper you are using.
- Try the printer’s standard colour setting if a vivid/photo enhancement is altering the look.
- Let the ink dry before judging the final colour.
If a colour is badly wrong, missing or wrong in the PDF itself, contact us. We can help check the file; exact colour matching depends on your printing setup. Epson’s colour troubleshooting guidance ↗
Everything is pink, green, washed out, streaky or missing a colour.
Check ink or toner levels and the printer’s quality settings. Use the printer’s own test or diagnostic page: if that also has missing colours or gaps, the printer needs attention before another craft print.
On an inkjet, follow your model’s nozzle-check and cleaning instructions. Laser printers use a different maintenance process. Avoid repeatedly running deep-cleaning cycles without the manufacturer’s guidance; they can use a lot of ink.
Try Normal quality instead of Draft/Economy; test a higher quality if needed. Persistent streaks, poor test pages or missing colours belong with the printer manufacturer’s support team. Example manufacturer print-quality checks ↗
Why is it printing in black and white? Can I make a colouring version?
If the PDF is coloured, check for a Grayscale, Monochrome or Black & White setting in your printer or app. Colour output also depends on having a colour-capable printer and working colour supplies.
Printing a coloured page in grayscale makes shades of grey; it does not remove the colouring to create clean outline artwork. Use the colouring version if one is included, and check the listing rather than assuming every craft contains both versions.
Some printers use colour supplies even for certain black-and-white jobs. Check your model’s instructions if it refuses to print when a colour supply is empty.
The ink smudges, the page is soggy or the print looks blurry.
Make sure the paper is intended for your printer type and the paper setting is correct. Allow printed sheets to dry before stacking, colouring or gluing them. Heavy ink on unsuitable paper can give a poor result.
For blurry detail, confirm you printed the original PDF, not a screenshot or a saved product photo. A larger print can also make small details look less crisp.
If other documents smudge too, use the manufacturer’s cleaning and paper guidance. Stop using a paper or card stock the printer cannot feed properly.
When the printer won’t cooperate
Work out whether the problem follows the file, the app or the printer.
Nothing happens, it says offline, or the pages are blank.
Check the printer is powered on, ready, connected and not showing a paper or supply error. Make sure the print destination is the physical printer, not another device or Save as PDF.
Check for a stuck job in your queue. Cancel your own failed jobs before retrying so they do not all appear later; ask staff before changing a shared school or church queue.
Print the printer’s test page and one unrelated document. If both fail, troubleshoot the connection or printer first. If only this PDF fails, save a fresh copy and try another PDF reader or the fix below. Adobe’s PDF-printing troubleshooting ↗
The PDF looks fine, but text disappears or black boxes print.
Try opening the downloaded file in a desktop PDF reader rather than a browser preview. In supported versions of Adobe Acrobat/Reader, try Print → Advanced → Print as Image, then print one test page.
This sends a rendered version of the page to the printer and can help with font or artwork processing problems. It may be slower or make edges less crisp. Recheck the paper size and scale as well.
If it still happens, tell us which page, app and printer you used. Adobe’s Print as Image instructions ↗
Only one page printed, or the pages came out in the wrong order.
Check whether the print window is set to Current page, a page range, odd/even pages or all pages. Use the PDF page numbers shown by the reader; they may differ from numbers printed on the artwork.
Print only the activity pages you need, including every piece required for assembly. Instruction and alternative-version pages may not need a copy for every child.
For a group, choose collated copies if you want complete sets in order. Make one complete set first, then use it as your sorting reference.
Should I print on both sides? The reverse is upside down.
Use one-sided printing unless the craft’s instructions call for two sides. An accordion or fold-out design may fold from one printed sheet; it does not automatically need a booklet-printing setting.
For a craft that does need duplex printing, follow its binding/flip instructions. Long-edge and short-edge flipping turn the reverse differently. Test two pages on scrap paper before a batch; mark the top of the scrap sheet if you are feeding it back manually.
Small front/back alignment differences can vary with the printer. Avoid adding two-sided printing to a template that was designed to be cut and joined separately.
Printing from a phone or tablet
It can work. The important bit is opening the full PDF and checking the settings your app actually offers.
How do I print from an iPhone or iPad?
- Save and open the downloaded PDF, for example in Files or a PDF app.
- For AirPrint, check the printer supports it and is on the same Wi-Fi network as the device.
- Use the app’s Share/Actions → Print option, choose the printer and check pages and copies.
- Inspect the preview and print one page first.
Not every app has a Print command. If the options you need are missing, try a supported printer app or a computer. A phone print window may not offer the same scale controls as a desktop PDF reader. Apple’s AirPrint instructions ↗
How do I print from Android?
Open the saved PDF in an app that supports printing. Look for a menu or Share option, then Print, and select your printer. Android may need a compatible print service enabled in device settings; wording varies by phone.
Check page size, orientation and copies wherever the app makes them available. If the printer is not listed, follow its manufacturer’s setup instructions. If you cannot control the scale needed for this craft, use a computer rather than printing a screenshot as a workaround.
Can I print the listing photo or a screenshot instead?
Please use the downloaded printable. Listing images may show a finished example, a smaller preview, several designs together or a staged photo. They are not a substitute for the template.
A screenshot can lose detail, alter scale or include part of the screen around the page. Download the original, open the PDF and print from that file. If someone is helping you print, send them the original file rather than a photo of it, within the permissions of your licence.
Paper, supplies & making the craft
Check the individual activity before committing to the good card stock.
Should I use paper, card or photo paper?
Use the material in the craft’s own instructions first. Plain white printer paper is a useful starting point for flat activity and colouring sheets. Card can help some stand-up or handled crafts, but may make small folds harder.
Only use paper weights and finishes your printer supports. Check its manual before feeding card, and use the right tray/settings. Choose paper made for inkjet or laser printing as appropriate.
Glossy photo paper is not automatically better for a craft you want children to colour or glue. Try one complete example before printing class sets.
Where should I cut, fold and glue?
Read the template’s instructions or key before cutting. Do not assume every dotted line means cut, or remove a tab that is needed for joining.
Keep pieces from one craft together, fold before final gluing where directed, and test the fit first. Use a small amount of suitable glue or tape; too much wet glue can make paper difficult to handle.
Adults should prepare awkward openings and help with tricky folds or fasteners. Check supplies before the lesson. Set out the supplies before the children start.
How do I prepare enough copies for a class or Sunday school?
Check the product licence for your setting and planned copies. Then make one complete craft to confirm the print settings, pages and assembly. A printing estimate does not include the time you spend sorting supplies or teaching the story.
Use a complete set as your reference, print the required pages with consistent settings, and separate any different language or colour versions. Prepare tricky cuts for children who need help.
If using a print shop, provide the original PDF and specify paper size, scale, colour, sides, page range and quantity. Ask for one sample before the full run. The shop’s printing charges are separate from your digital purchase.
Before buying or choosing another activity
A quick check here can save a lot of printing later.
How do I choose the right language, version and activity?
Check the language label, Bible passage, craft type and What’s included section. Some activities are designed for colouring; others have pre-coloured artwork. Do not assume the coloured example in a product photo is an extra included file.
Look at the suggested ages, activity time and adult-help notes. A child may love the story but need help with the construction or reading. You can browse by Bible story, craft type or the filters in Shop all.
What is useful to know about digital purchases and membership?
When you buy an individual craft from Easy Bible Craft, its files are added to Purchased crafts in My downloads after payment is confirmed. It is a digital purchase: assembly, physical delivery, printing and custom changes are not included unless stated. Keep your order number and a clear folder for your downloaded files.
With membership, browse the shop and choose Add to library on included crafts. Download your selections in My downloads during your paid period. Custom services are separate. Manage renewal in Account → Membership. Check the membership page and printing licence for the applicable details; unlimited downloads does not mean permission to share the original files.
If a file seems missing, damaged or different from the product description, contact us with your Easy Bible Craft order details so we can investigate.
