Meet Boaz.

Care and responsibility in Ruth's story.

Boaz: a quiet historically appropriate setting for Care and responsibility in Ruth's story, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Boaz?

Boaz was a relative of Naomi's late husband and the owner of fields where Ruth gathered grain. He noticed her situation and arranged protection and provision. His later marriage to Ruth belonged within the family's kinship responsibilities.

Boaz told workers to let Ruth gather grain and to avoid troubling her. His care included changes in how a vulnerable person was treated at work.
