Meet Cleopas.

Meeting Jesus on the road to Emmaus.

Cleopas: a quiet historically appropriate setting for Meeting Jesus on the road to Emmaus, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Cleopas?

Cleopas was one of two people walking from Jerusalem to Emmaus after Jesus' death. The other traveller is not named in Luke's account. They spoke with Jesus before recognising him.

The travellers described their disappointment and listened as Jesus explained the Scriptures. Later, they recognised him when he broke bread and returned to share the news.
