Meet Nathan the prophet.

Speaking truth to King David.

Nathan the prophet: a quiet historically appropriate setting for Speaking truth to King David, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Nathan the prophet?

Nathan was a prophet who spoke to King David. He is different from David's son named Nathan. His messages included both promises about the kingdom and a direct challenge to David's wrongdoing.

Nathan told a story about a rich man taking a poor man's lamb, then used it to confront David. Even a king had to answer for harm he caused.

Nathan telling David the story of a poor man's lamb, gesturing gently but firmly, a small lamb in a separate imagined vignette beside them.
