Meet Zechariah the prophet.
A prophet speaking to the returned community.
Who was Zechariah the prophet?
Zechariah was a prophet who spoke to the community after exile. His book includes visions and messages about returning to God and rebuilding. He is not Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist.
Zechariah's message calls for truthful words, fair judgements and care for vulnerable people. The visions belong alongside practical teaching about community life.
