Printing tipsAbout this activity
The sunflower stationery set provides an envelope, writing paper and a decorative paper seal. Its learning opportunity is thoughtful letter writing and careful paper construction, rather than a Bible story printed in the kit.
Main takeaway: A personal letter can make appreciation specific and lasting.
As you write your letter
Use the matching paper for a message that names a particular memory or act of kindness.
Choose a recipient and write about a real action or memory you appreciate. Read the message before sealing it and keep private information out of a letter shared publicly.
A younger writer can dictate or draw part of the message. A more confident writer can organise a greeting, specific appreciation and a closing before preparing the envelope.
Questions to explore
- Who would enjoy receiving a letter?
- What particular thing would you like to thank them for?
- What could make the message thoughtful rather than generic?
Common questions
What files are included in this download?
The download is a 2-page PDF: SpringSunflowers.pdf. This is the English edition. You print the files yourself; physical supplies are not included.
What can I make from the two pages?
The kit provides sunflower envelope artwork, coordinating writing paper and a printable decorative seal. Cut and fold the envelope template, glue its side and bottom tabs, then add your letter. The seal is a printed cut-out, not real sealing wax.
Which pages should I print, and at what size?
The original PDF pages are A4 portrait. SpringSunflowers.pdf: print the pages you want to use for each learner or group. Print single-sided. On US Letter paper, select Letter and Fit or shrink to the printable area; the originals are not separate Letter-sized files.
What supplies and preparation does this need?
Paper, scissors, glue and a pen. Test the envelope with your folded letter before sealing it. Nothing physical is posted to you.
What help might children need with this activity?
No fixed child age band is assigned to this item. Choose adult help according to the cutting, folding and writing involved. This is not assigned a child age band.
