Wise and Foolish Builders: Build on the Rock

How to play

1. Drag the wall and roof pieces into the matching outlines on both houses.
2. Choose Send the rain and observe what happens to the houses on rock and sand.
3. Match the builders with their responses to Jesus’ words, then choose an idea to discuss.

Learning through play

Children practise matching construction shapes, comparing two outcomes and connecting a picture with the meaning of a parable. The closing activity gives adults a way to discuss hearing and doing Jesus’ words through an everyday example.

For Sunday school, homeschool or play at home. Younger children can play alongside an adult.
