Bible verses for children

A life shaped by Christ’s love.

Galatians 2:20

A simple empty wooden cross on a quiet hill at dawn, a white cloth draped over one arm, small spring flowers below, peaceful distant Jerusalem silhouette
I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.

In simple words

What does this verse mean?

Paul describes a changed identity through Christ’s death and life. “Christ lives in me” means his life is now shaped by faith in Jesus. It does not mean losing personality or harming the body.

Ask how trust in Jesus could change one selfish habit into a caring response.

Talk about it

What part of daily life could be shaped more by Christ’s love?

Bible context & readings +

Galatians 2:15–21 discusses justification and life through faith. Crucifixion language expresses union with Christ, not a physical action for readers to copy or a denial that their own lives matter.
