Bible verses for children

Ready to be sent.

Isaiah 6:8

A child willingly steps forward to help at a community table, carrying a small basket of supplies while an adult listens and guides
I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!”

In simple words

What does this verse mean?

Isaiah offers himself for God’s work after receiving cleansing. Willingness matters, but he still needs to hear the task. Serving does not mean agreeing to every request without thought.

Offer help with a suitable task, then listen carefully to what is needed.

Bible context & readings +

Isaiah 6 describes a particular prophetic calling, including a difficult message. “Send me” is Isaiah’s response in that setting, not a requirement for children to accept unsafe responsibilities.
