Bible verses for children
Welcome someone from another place.
Leviticus 19:34

The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.

In simple words
What does this verse mean?
God tells Israel to love the foreigner living among them as they love themselves. A foreigner here is someone who has come from another country. The people are reminded that they too once lived in a country that was not their own. Newcomers deserve care and fair treatment.
A new child may speak another language or celebrate differently from you. Learn their name, show them where things are and invite them to join in without asking them to stop being themselves.
