Bible verses for children

Long for what is right.

Matthew 5:6

A caring adult listening seriously to a child who is being excluded, with space being made for them at a community table
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:6 · World English Bible Classic (WEB)

In simple words

What does this verse mean?

Hunger and thirst are strong needs. Jesus uses them to picture a deep desire for righteousness: life set right before God. This longing includes fair treatment and goodness, not just winning arguments.

Notice an unfair pattern and ask an adult how it could be changed.
