Bible verses for children
Love does not keep stirring a quarrel.
Proverbs 10:12

Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.
Proverbs 10:12 · World English Bible Classic (WEB)
In simple words
What does this verse mean?
Hatred keeps conflict going, while love seeks a way beyond it. Covering wrongs here means not continually stirring them up to cause more hurt. It does not mean concealing abuse, denying what happened or stopping someone from asking for protection.
After a small disagreement is resolved, do not bring it up again just to embarrass your friend. If harm is continuing, tell a trusted adult.
Talk about it

Bible context & readings +
This proverb contrasts hatred that provokes strife with love that covers offences. Its concern is how relationships handle wrongs. Read covering as a loving response towards reconciliation, not as permission to hide serious harm or prevent accountability.
