In simple words
What does this verse mean?
The gates and courts are entrances and spaces at the place of worship. The singer invites people to arrive with thanks and praise. We can also practise gratitude in everyday places, noticing gifts and care without pretending that every experience is good.
Before joining a gathering, think of something you are thankful for and someone who helped make it possible. You might quietly thank them as well as thanking God.

Bible context & readings +
Psalm 100 is a short call to joyful worship. Its final verse explains the thanksgiving through God’s goodness, loving kindness and faithfulness. The invitation to enter worship spaces does not mean that prayer is only heard inside a religious building.
