Bible verses for children
God knows our limits.
Psalm 103:14

For he knows how we are made. He remembers that we are dust.

In simple words
What does this verse mean?
Remembering that people are dust points to human fragility and our connection with the earth. It does not mean we are worthless. The psalm says God knows how we are made, giving a reason for compassion towards people who become tired, weak or unwell.
If someone needs a break, offer patience instead of calling them lazy. You can also tell an adult when you are tired and need rest.

Bible context & readings +
Psalm 103:13–16 moves from a parent’s compassion to pictures of dust, grass and a flower. Together they recognise how vulnerable human life is. The point is compassionate understanding, not shame about having a body or needing support.
