Bible verses for children
Tell the truth about a wrong.
Psalm 32:5

I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

In simple words
What does this verse mean?
The singer stops hiding a wrong and admits it to God. Acknowledging, confessing and naming sin all mean being honest about what happened. Forgiveness offers a way forward. Doing something wrong does not make a child worthless, and being forgiven does not remove the need to put things right.
If you blamed someone else for your mistake, tell the truth to the people involved. Say sorry and ask how you can repair the harm, with help if you need it.

Bible context & readings +
Psalm 32 contrasts the burden of concealment with the relief of confession and forgiveness. Verse 5 marks that change. “Selah” is a term found in the psalms whose exact use is uncertain; it is not another action children must perform to be forgiven.
