Bible verses for children

Opposition is not the final word.

Romans 8:31

A worried child is encouraged by a caring adult to speak kindly and confidently to a small friendly group, all standing in a safe courtyard
What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31 · World English Bible Classic (WEB)

In simple words

What does this verse mean?

Paul’s question expresses confidence in God’s commitment, not the absence of enemies. Difficulties may oppose believers, but they do not cancel God’s love. Courage grows from that assurance.

Face a hard but safe task with support rather than assuming difficulty means abandonment.

Talk about it

Bible context & readings +

Romans 8:31–39 follows the discussion of suffering and lists real threats. The question about who can be against us must be read with those threats, not as a promise of universal popularity or success.
