Who is Gabriel?
Gabriel is an angelic messenger named in the Bible. Luke describes him bringing news to Zechariah and Mary. An angel is not a human character, and illustrations cannot show us Gabriel's exact appearance.
Gabriel told Mary about the birth of Jesus and responded to her question. The message included reassurance as she faced unexpected news.
