Meet Hagar.

A displaced woman seen by God.

Hagar: a quiet historically appropriate setting for A displaced woman seen by God, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Hagar?

Hagar was an Egyptian woman enslaved in Abraham and Sarah's household and the mother of Ishmael. Genesis describes her vulnerability and suffering. It also records God meeting her in the wilderness.

Hagar spoke of the God who saw her. Later, God heard the boy's distress and provided water. The story gives attention to people who were pushed aside.
