Who was Hannah?
Hannah was Samuel's mother. Before his birth, she experienced deep sadness and prayed honestly at the sanctuary in Shiloh. Eli initially misunderstood her, but she explained that she was pouring out her heart to God.
Hannah did not hide her distress. She spoke to God and then explained herself when Eli judged her too quickly.
