Meet Jochebed.

Moses' mother protecting her child.

Jochebed: a quiet historically appropriate setting for Moses' mother protecting her child, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Jochebed?

Jochebed was the mother of Aaron, Moses and Miriam. Exodus names her in a family record. The account of Moses' early life describes his mother protecting him when Hebrew boys were threatened.

Moses' mother placed him in a prepared basket among the reeds, and his sister watched nearby. This was a response to danger, not an ordinary childcare plan.
