Meet Judah son of Jacob.

Taking responsibility for a brother.

Judah son of Jacob: a quiet historically appropriate setting for Taking responsibility for a brother, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Judah son of Jacob?

Judah was one of Jacob and Leah's sons. His story includes harmful choices as well as later willingness to take responsibility. He is also an ancestor whose name is connected with a tribe and kingdom.

When Benjamin faced being kept in Egypt, Judah offered to stay instead. The scene contrasts with the brothers' earlier treatment of Joseph and shows a changed response to a family crisis.

Judah stepping forward to offer himself in Benjamin's place before Joseph, Benjamin standing behind him, no chains.
