An army commander receiving healing.

Naaman: a quiet historically appropriate setting for An army commander receiving healing, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Naaman?

Naaman was an army commander from Aram who had a serious skin disease. A captive girl in his household spoke about the prophet in Samaria. His visit to Elisha became a story of help and humbled expectations.

Naaman first resisted the instruction to wash in the Jordan. His servants encouraged him to consider it, and the account describes his healing. It is not a formula promising cures today.
