Meet Nebuchadnezzar.

A powerful king learning about limits.

Nebuchadnezzar: a quiet historically appropriate setting for A powerful king learning about limits, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Nebuchadnezzar?

Nebuchadnezzar was a Babylonian king whose power affected Judah and its exiles. Daniel describes his demands, pride and encounters with God's authority. Great political power did not make all his actions right.

In Daniel 3, the king demanded worship of an image and punished refusal. The friends' response shows that a ruler's command can be challenged when it requires wrongdoing.
