Meet Philip the evangelist.

Sharing the good news across communities.

Philip the evangelist: a quiet historically appropriate setting for Sharing the good news across communities, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Philip the evangelist?

Philip was one of the seven chosen to help the early Jerusalem community. Acts later describes him sharing the message about Jesus in Samaria and with an Ethiopian traveller. He is distinct from the apostle Philip.

Philip asked the traveller whether he understood what he was reading. He began with the person's actual question rather than assuming what help was needed.

Philip seated beside the Ethiopian traveller in a stopped chariot, explaining an open Scripture scroll.
