Isaiah 5:1–7; Isaiah 5:8–30
Isaiah 5:1–7 is a song about a vineyard that becomes an explanation of God’s complaint against his people. The poem moves from careful planting, to disappointment, to judgement, and finally to a plain statement of what the vineyard means. This lesson also brings together Woes to the Wicked.
Isaiah 6:1–13
Isaiah 6:1–13 tells of a vision in the temple where Isaiah sees the Lord’s holiness, admits his uncleanness, receives cleansing, and is sent with a hard message that ends with an image of what remains.
Isaiah 8:11–18; Isaiah 8:19–22
Isaiah 8:11–18 contrasts public alarm with proper reverence. Yahweh warns Isaiah not to follow the people’s fearful way and commands reverence for him as holy. Isaiah 12:1–6 is a short song of thanks that looks ahead to a day when people will praise Yahweh. It moves from personal gratitude to public proclamation, showing joy, trust, and worship centred on God’s salvation.
Isaiah 13:1–22
Isaiah 13 is a burden against Babylon that Isaiah saw. The prophecy moves from a summons to battle, to the terror of Yahweh’s day, to the naming of the Medes, and ends with Babylon emptied and ruined.

Isaiah 14:1–2 is a short prophecy about Yahweh’s compassion for Israel. It speaks of renewed choosing, return to the land, foreigners joining with Jacob, and a strong reversal of former oppression. Isaiah 15:1–9
Isaiah 15 speaks a burden against Moab. The passage is a prophecy of sudden ruin, widespread grief and continuing danger. It also shows that the cry over judgement is not cold or distant, because the speaker says, "My heart cries out for Moab."
Isaiah 16:1–14
Isaiah 16 is a prophecy about Moab. It speaks of fugitives, refuge, pride, ruined harvests, failed prayer, and a fixed time when Moab’s glory will fall.
Isaiah 17:1–14
Isaiah 17:1–14 speaks a burden against Damascus, but also includes Ephraim, Jacob and many nations. It moves from coming ruin and a small remainder to the prediction that people will look to their Maker rather than to worship objects made by human hands.
Isaiah 18:1–7
Isaiah 18:1–7 speaks first to a land beyond the rivers of Ethiopia and then to all the world. With vivid pictures, the passage shows Yahweh watching, acting in his time, and later receiving a present at Mount Zion.
Isaiah 19:1–15; Isaiah 19:16–25
Isaiah 19:1–15 is a prophecy against Egypt. The passage shows Yahweh shaking Egypt’s idols, wisdom, water supply, work and rulers. It teaches that Egypt’s strength cannot stand when Yahweh acts against it. This lesson also brings together A Blessing upon the Earth.

Isaiah 23:1–18

Isaiah 24:1–23 is a prophecy of sweeping judgment on the earth. It shows ruin across society, explains the earth’s guilt, includes calls to glorify Yahweh, and ends with Yahweh reigning in glory.
Isaiah 25:1–12
Isaiah 25:1–12 is a song of praise that speaks about Yahweh’s faithful plans, his care for poor and needy people, and his future victory over death, tears, pride, and strong human defences.
Isaiah 26:1–21
Isaiah 26:1 to 21 is a song of trust, waiting, confession and hope. As poetry, it uses strong pictures to contrast God’s peace and upright way with human pride, human failure and coming judgment.
Isaiah 27:1–13
Isaiah 27:1–13 is a prophetic passage that moves from Yahweh’s victory over a great threat, to his care for his vineyard, to forgiveness, judgement, and the gathering of Israel for worship.
Isaiah 28:1–13; Isaiah 28:14–22; Isaiah 28:23–29
Isaiah 28:1–13 warns Ephraim about pride, drunkenness and refusing Yahweh’s word. The passage contrasts fading human glory with Yahweh himself, and it ends with a sober warning about not listening. This lesson also brings together A Cornerstone in Zion, Listen and Hear.
