What does thankfulness in difficulty look like?
Thankfulness in difficulty means noticing care or goodness during a hard time without pretending the hurt is good. We can thank God for help and still feel sad, angry or worried. Both can belong in the same prayer.
On a day when you feel unwell, you might be sad about missing a game and thankful that someone sits with you.

A little context
Habakkuk 3:17–19 speaks of failed crops and missing livestock before expressing joy in God. It holds loss and trust together rather than denying the seriousness of suffering.
