Printing tipsThe story behind the craft
Bible passage: Acts 16:25–34
An earthquake opens the prison doors while Paul and Silas are held inside. They reassure the frightened jailer, share the message of Jesus, and receive care in his home; he and his household are baptised.
Main takeaway: The jailer’s encounter leads from fear towards faith, hospitality and care.
As you open the story book
Open the folds gradually, using the revealed sections to retell the account.
Compare the jailer’s fear with his later washing of wounds and offering food. Notice practical care alongside his new belief.
An adult can read one section while a younger child points to its picture. Older learners can close the book, retell it and reopen it to check the sequence.
Questions to explore
- What frightened the jailer?
- How did Paul reassure him?
- What did the jailer do to care for his prisoners afterwards?
