Bible verses for children
Wisdom is recognised by its character.
James 3:17

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

In simple words
What does this verse mean?
Wisdom from above is gentle, peaceable, merciful and sincere. Being clever is not enough if advice produces pride or cruelty. Good wisdom is willing to listen and bears good results.
Consider whether advice is fair and caring, not only whether it sounds confident.
