Bible verses for children

Money must not become the master.

Matthew 6:24

A child chooses to spend time helping a friend with a broken toy, leaving a small closed coin pouch safely on a nearby table
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.

In simple words

What does this verse mean?

Mammon means wealth or possessions treated as a ruling power. Money can be useful, but it cannot be our highest loyalty alongside God. Our choices show which purpose leads.

Choose fairness over a chance to gain something by cheating.

Bible context & readings +
