Look honestly before condemning.

Matthew 7:1

A child notices their own crooked row of building blocks before judging a friend, then asks for help; the friend listens kindly
“Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.

Matthew 7:1 · World English Bible Classic (WEB)

In simple words

What does this verse mean?

Jesus warns against harsh judgement of others while overlooking ourselves. Humility asks us to examine our own conduct. We can still recognise harmful actions and seek protection or fairness.

Before criticising a friend’s small mistake, consider whether you need to apologise for something too.

Talk about it

How could self-reflection change the way you correct someone?
