Check before you believe.
Proverbs 14:15

A simple man believes everything, but the prudent man carefully considers his ways.

In simple words
What does this verse mean?
Prudent means thinking carefully about what to do. The proverb contrasts believing every claim with considering the way ahead. Asking for evidence is useful; it does not mean treating everyone with suspicion or refusing to learn from trustworthy people.
If someone repeats an alarming story, ask where it came from. Check it with a trusted adult before passing it on.

Bible context & readings +
In Proverbs, the “simple” person is an inexperienced learner who may be easily led. Verse 15 calls that learner towards discernment. It is not an insult about intelligence; checking claims and considering consequences are skills people can practise.
