Bible verses for children
Use today wisely.
Psalm 90:12
So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

In simple words
What does this verse mean?
Numbering our days means remembering that time is precious and choosing how to use it well. A heart of wisdom learns what matters. The verse does not ask children to count down their lives or fill every moment with work. Rest, play and friendship matter too.
Think of one worthwhile thing to make time for today: learning, helping, playing with someone or resting. You do not need to do everything at once.

Bible context & readings +
Psalm 90 contrasts God’s enduring life with the shortness and difficulty of human life. Verse 12 asks for wisdom in response. Its setting is a communal prayer, so the lesson is thoughtful living rather than worry about predicting the future.
