Meet Abel.

The brother harmed by Cain.

Abel: a quiet historically appropriate setting for The brother harmed by Cain, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Abel?

Abel was a son of Adam and Eve and the brother of Cain. He cared for sheep and brought an offering to God. Genesis tells that Cain killed him, a serious wrong for which Abel was not responsible.

When God asked Cain about Abel, Cain tried to avoid responsibility. The account asks us to take the life and safety of another person seriously.

Abel gently tending his flock of sheep in a meadow, placing fresh grass near a lamb.
