Named ruler · New Testament

Meet Herod Agrippa II.

A ruler who hears Paul's defense.

Herod Agrippa II: a quiet historically appropriate setting for A ruler who hears Paul's defense, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Herod Agrippa II?

Herod Agrippa II was a ruler who visited Festus and heard Paul's defence. He was a different person from Agrippa I in Acts 12. Acts places him within the later hearings about Paul's imprisonment.

Paul explained his earlier life and changed direction before Agrippa. The hearing gives us a chance to distinguish listening to an account from assuming we already know it.
