Who was John son of Zebedee?
John was one of Jesus' twelve apostles. He and his brother James were sons of Zebedee and worked as fishermen. John appears with Peter and James at several important moments in the Gospels.
John and James left their fishing work when Jesus called them. Following Jesus meant learning a new way of life, and the Gospels also show the brothers needing correction.
