Meet James son of Zebedee.

A disciple and John's brother.

James son of Zebedee: a quiet historically appropriate setting for A disciple and John's brother, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was James son of Zebedee?

James was a fisherman, John's brother and one of Jesus' twelve apostles. He appears with Peter and John at important moments. Acts later records his death under Herod Agrippa I.

James and John asked for places of honour, and Jesus taught them about service. Being close to Jesus still meant needing to learn about humility.
