Meet Shadrach.

Faithfulness under a foreign king.

Shadrach: a quiet historically appropriate setting for Faithfulness under a foreign king, with simple understated contextual details; no invented dramatic event

Who was Shadrach?

Shadrach was one of Daniel's friends in Babylon. His Hebrew name was Hananiah. He stood with Meshach and Abednego when the king demanded worship of a golden image.

The friends declared that they would remain faithful even if rescue did not come. Their courage was not based on a promise that nothing painful could happen.

Shadrach speaking calmly with Meshach and Abednego beside him before King Nebuchadnezzar, refusing the demand, no flames.
