Bible verses for children

God saw that it was very good.

Genesis 1:31

A beautiful panorama of creation: sunlit mountains, ocean, river, lush trees, flowers, birds in the sky, deer and small animals on the shore, fish visible in clear water
God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

In simple words

What does this verse mean?

At the end of the creation account, God looks at everything he has made and calls it very good. Land, plants, animals and people belong to a world worth delighting in. This tells us to value creation; it does not mean every hurtful thing people do is good.

After planting seeds, notice the soil, water and sunshine that help them grow. Taking time to enjoy something good can help us want to protect it too.
