Age is an editorial estimate for the motor and reading demands of this format. Difficulty, completion time and suggested tools are planning estimates, not build-tested.
Check the file before you print for a group, and allow for any extra help the kids might need.
Printing tipsThe story behind the craft
Bible passage: Genesis 1:26–31; Psalm 104:24–30
Genesis describes the goodness of creation, and Psalm 104 praises God’s many works and care for living things. These passages can support prayers of gratitude and responsibility for the world.
Main takeaway: Thanking God for creation can lead to practical care for it.
When you turn the cube
Choose one face of the cube and read its words or discuss its picture before turning to another.
Name a plant, animal, place or person connected with the chosen prompt, then add one realistic action that helps care for that part of creation.
Younger learners can respond to one face with help. Older learners can connect two faces with the relevant passage and explain whether they are events, themes or prayer prompts.
Questions to explore
- What are you thankful for in the natural world?
- What does that living thing need?
- What small action could help care for it?
