Printing tipsThe story behind the craft
Bible passage: Daniel 6:1–23
Daniel continues his regular prayers after a law forbids praying to anyone but the king. He is put in the lions’ den, but God preserves his life; the king finds him alive the next morning.
Main takeaway: Daniel remains faithful in prayer under pressure.
While you colour the bookmarks
Follow the scenes: Daniel prays faithfully; Jealous men accuse him; Daniel is thrown to the lions; God protects him all night.
Use the separate bookmark pictures to retell the account and connect each one with the moment it represents.
Trace praying at home, the accusation, the den and the morning rescue. Talk about faithfulness without promising that faithful people never face danger.
Younger learners can arrange the scenes with an adult. Older learners can choose a bookmark, locate the corresponding passage and explain its place in the wider story.
Questions to explore
- What did Daniel keep doing?
- How did the king react the next morning?
