Printing tipsThe story behind the craft
Bible passage: Daniel 2
Nebuchadnezzar’s troubling dream cannot be explained by his advisers. Daniel seeks God’s help and describes a statue of different materials and a stone that becomes a great mountain, pointing beyond passing kingdoms.
Main takeaway: Daniel credits God for wisdom, and the dream contrasts human kingdoms with God’s lasting reign.
Before you hang the ornament
Read the illustrated story circles in sequence before joining them and adding the hanging thread.
Compare the statue’s materials with the stone and mountain. Avoid assigning modern nations or dates to the images as if the printable proves them.
Younger learners can name a pictured moment with adult support. Older learners can explain how that moment connects with the one before and after it.
Questions to explore
- How did Daniel seek help?
- What happened to the statue?
- What is the contrast between a passing kingdom and a lasting one?

What help might children need with this activity?
Suggested ages: 8–12 years. Help with matching folds and gluing the sections evenly. An adult can assemble the ornament after younger children colour the pieces. Adjust this guide for the child’s reading and making skills.
