Printing tipsThe story behind the craft
Suggested Bible reading: James 1:17; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Galatians 5:22–23
The gem-themed crown brings together the idea of good gifts, different gifts of the Spirit and qualities such as love, joy and peace. In Scripture these are related ideas, but spiritual gifts and the Spirit’s fruit are not identical lists.
Main takeaway: Different gifts are for shared good, while the Spirit’s fruit describes character.
Before you wear the crown
Read the crown’s words and look at its story or symbol details before using it as a reminder.
Name one gift or quality featured on the crown, then locate it in the appropriate passage. Gem shapes are a craft metaphor, not a Bible list of magical stones.
Younger learners can choose one pictured detail to talk about. Older learners can explain the reminder without assuming that every crown design is about a king or queen.
Questions to explore
- How might a gift help other people?
- How are gifts different from character qualities?
- Why does having different gifts make cooperation valuable?
