Printing tips

The story behind the craft

Bible passage: Acts 10

Cornelius seeks God and is directed to send for Peter. Peter receives a vision that challenges his assumptions, visits Cornelius’ household and sees the Holy Spirit welcomed among Gentile believers.

Main takeaway: Peter learns that the good news crosses boundaries he had taken for granted.

While you use the cards

Read one question at a time and look back at the passage when an answer needs explaining.

Keep the vision, journey and meeting in order. Discuss treating people with dignity rather than dividing the group into insiders and outsiders.

Allow younger learners a partner or an oral answer. Older learners can explain the evidence for an answer rather than relying only on the answer guide.

Questions to explore

  • Why did Cornelius send for Peter?
  • What assumption did Peter have to reconsider?
  • How can we notice and challenge unfair exclusion?
