Getting ready
Age & adult help
Children need to follow the pictured events and make the folds used to retell them.
Prepare awkward cuts, demonstrate the folds and read captions aloud. Use the pictures for shared retelling.
What you’ll need
Printer, paper, colouring pencils or crayons, scissors. Glue or tape may be useful if separate sections need joining.
Time & preparation
One sequencing craft, including colouring and folding. Discussion time is additional.
Age is an editorial estimate for the motor and reading demands of this format. Difficulty, completion time and suggested tools are planning estimates, not build-tested.
Check the file before you print for a group, and allow for any extra help the kids might need.
Printing tipsThe story behind the craft
Bible passage: Genesis 2:7–25; 3:1–24
God gives Adam and Eve a home in Eden and a command to keep. They listen to the serpent, disobey and hide, but God comes looking for them and clothes them before they leave the garden.
Main takeaway: Our choices matter, and we can be honest with God when we do wrong.
As you put the story in order
Lay out the story strip before folding it. Use its four scenes to trace life in Eden, companionship, the forbidden fruit and leaving the garden.
Ask children to describe what changes after Adam and Eve eat. Read Genesis 3:8–13 to explore hiding, blame and telling the truth. To discuss Christian hope after the fall, read Genesis 3:15 together.
Younger learners can choose what happens first and next. Older learners can explain why a turning point changes the story.
Questions to explore
- What did God give Adam and Eve?
- Why did they hide?
- What could an honest response to a wrong choice sound like?
Common questions
What files are included in this download?
The download is a 3-page PDF: AdamandEve-Story.pdf. This is the English edition. You print the files yourself; physical supplies are not included.
Is this a rotating wheel or a folding craft?
The supplied instructions show a folding strip attached to a circular cover. Colour and cut the pieces, fold the strip on the marked lines, then glue its top and bottom ends to the cover as indicated. Open it to reveal the story or writing sections; this version does not need a spinner fastener. For a Bible reading to accompany this activity, use Genesis 2:7–25; 3:1–24.
Which pages should I print, and at what size?
The original PDF pages are A4 portrait. AdamandEve-Story.pdf: print pages 2, 3 for each learner or group. Page 1 is the assembly guide, which can be shared. Print single-sided. On US Letter paper, select Letter and Fit or shrink to the printable area; the originals are not separate Letter-sized files.
What supplies and preparation does this need?
Paper, colouring pencils, scissors and glue. Help make the strip folds and attach the ends without gluing the opening sections shut.
What help might children need with this activity?
Suggested ages: 6–10 years. Help with the cover cuts, concertina folds and gluing the marked ends. Read the story or writing prompts aloud where needed. Adjust this guide for the child’s reading and making skills.
