Priscilla and Aquila Help Apollos
In Ephesus, Priscilla and Aquila helped Apollos understand the way of God more accurately.
Paul travelled through the regions of Galatia and Phrygia, going from place to place and strengthening the disciples. Then the story turns to Ephesus, where Apollos arrived.
Apollos was a Jewish man from Alexandria. He spoke well and was mighty in the Scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and with eager zeal he taught accurately about Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John.
Apollos began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained the way of God to him more accurately.
After this, Apollos decided to go across to Achaia. The brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there, asking them to receive him. When he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace.
Apollos then spoke powerfully in public. Using the Scriptures, he showed that Jesus is the Christ. His story reminds us that careful teaching can strengthen God's people and help others understand the truth more clearly.
