Printing tipsThe story behind the craft
Bible passage: Job 1–2; 38–42
Job experiences devastating losses and argues honestly about his suffering. His friends offer explanations that do not resolve his pain; God eventually addresses Job, and the story ends with restoration.
Main takeaway: Job’s suffering invites compassion and honest questions, not easy blame.
As you turn the wheel
Turn slowly and use each revealed section as a pause in the retelling.
Leave space for grief and questions. Do not treat the ending as a promise that good people will always regain everything they lose.
Younger learners can predict the next pictured event. Older learners can explain a character’s decision at the point where it appears.
Questions to explore
- What kinds of feelings might Job have had?
- Why can quick explanations hurt someone who is grieving?
- What could a caring friend say or do instead?
